Panjab University Events: On International Women's Day Celebration 'Mahila Kavi Sammelan has organized by Alumni Association at PU Law Auditorium

Panjab University has organized ‘Mahila Kavi Sammelan‘ Feeling Proud and Honour towards
Women Empowerment on 3rd March 2020.

Prof Deepti Gupta, Dean (Alumni) welcomed the Chief Guest, Jagmohan Singh Kang Former Punjab Minister, Poets, and the Audience.

Nine eminent women poets were part of the program are Ana Delhevi, Namita Rakesh, Sarita Jain, Sunita Raina, Saba Aziz, Anita Anand, Babita Kapoor, Isha Naaz, and Mamta Kalra.

All Nine Devas of ‘Kavi Sammelan’ mesmerized the audiences at the PU Law Auditorium.

And they expressed the quest for self-identity, gender and status equality, right to decision making.

Mamta Kalra mentioned about farming community’s love for nature. Babita Kapoor performed ‘nazms’ and women’s fortitude and their exploitation in a male-dominated society.

Where Anita Anand showed her art of performing ‘Gazals‘ on love and relationships.

Sunita Raina was praying for peace and Saba Aziz was grabbing heed of audiences on contemporary issues.

Isha Naaz came out as poetic eloquence and Sarita Jain was enjoying womanhood with her ‘nazms‘ on women empowerment.

The audience was mesmerized with the performance of Ana Delhelvi and Namita Rakesh.
