Brilliance World School organized an inter-house quiz completion. The teams were prepared by the house leaders under the guidance of house mistresses. All the four houses had put in extraordinary efforts and there was a tough competition.

The Aravalli house won the first position and the members of the team were Prithvee, Mehak, Guranshika, Aryan, and Amrit. The second position was won by Nilgiri house and the members of the house were Simran, Jai, Malika, Siddhant, and Yatharth.

“This competition is aimed at not only improving the general knowledge but also to put students into team solidarity and house loyalty, “said Niranjana Chatterjee, Principal.

The second batch of Summer Camp 2018 has concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony held at the school’s campus at Sec 12, here.

“We held Summer Camp in two batches of 15 days each through the month of June.  The camps were aimed towards positive and constructive use of vacations.  The students were engaged in workshops on various activities like art and craft, music, dance, taekwondo, cricket, lawn tennis, swimming, yoga and personality development.” said Shyam Sunder, Chairman, Brilliance World School.

The Chairman awarded the participants with certificates and appreciated their efforts and zeal to learn new things. The camp gave an opportunity to students to learn & pursue their interests in co-curricular activities. Students used their innovation and creativity and made statues and figures during the camp. On the concluding day, a display of art works created by participating students was also held.

Students also learned team work & cooperation The students enjoyed a lot as they interacted with other students and made new friends. This effort of school gave them a relaxing change from normal school days.

In an era where the use of solar energy is just being talked about, Brilliance World School, Sec 12, here has successfully installed a 50 KVA Solar Power system.

“This is an Eco-friendly form of energy which is not only economical but is also the need of the hour. The solar power generation is sufficient to meet the power requirements of the school and cut down the consumption of the electricity out of non-renewable resources.” Said Shyam Sunder, Chairman, Brilliance World School.

Realizing the fact that trips and excursions are a perfect way to expand one’s horizons and experiences, Brilliance World School, Sec- 12, Panchkula took Students of Pre-school, primary, secondary and senior secondary classes to different educational excursions and outings before the students parted from each other for their summer vacations.

The International Doll museum and Butterfly Park was chosen as the place for pre-school students whereas students of primary classes in Brilliance World School were taken to Morni Hills as a part of the educational excursion. They had a nature walk and a feel of surrounding flora and fauna. The sculptures and statues preserving the human and wildlife were enlightening for the students. The teachers accompanying them had all the explanations related to the intellectual exposure that they were about to face.

“The prime objective of organizing educational tours as a part of the curriculum is to offer students practical knowledge. Moreover, outing with friends brings joy to everyone’s life, especially children. It gives an opportunity to the teachers to bond with children”, said Mr. Sham Sunder, Chairman, Brilliance World School.

Furthermore, students of Secondary and Senior Secondary classes were taken to Fun City to have a cool day out. The trip seemed to be refreshing one and rejuvenated the students.

In order to develop the leadership qualities in students, Brilliance World School organized Investiture Ceremony to elect student leaders for the session 2018-2019. The sincerity, academic excellence and overall involvement of the students were taken into consideration before electing them for particular designations.

Mehak Anand and Prithvee Yakhmi, the dynamic students who have been active in both academic and extra-curricular activities were elected as the head girl and head boy respectively. In order to look after the duties of head girl and head boy in their absence, Vice Head Girl and Vice Head Boy were also elected. Taking into consideration their sincerity and dedication towards assigned duties, the position for Vice Head Girl was given to Sanya Lather and that of Vice Head Boy to Ashwin Chauhan where as Om was elected as the student representative who would look into the matters concerned with students and bring them to the notice of head girl and head boy.

“Education is not merely about getting marks and writing on sheets. It comprises of the skills required by students in their life. This ceremony is a little effort in that context only and I hope the students who have been assigned responsibilities will give their best.”, said Sham Sunder, Chairman, Brilliance World School.

The different houses-Aravalli house, Himalaya house, Nilgiri house and Vindhyachal house which incorporate all the students of the school also got their Perfects and vice Perfects elected by the house mistresses. Aryan Behl, Lakshay, Malika and Abhimanyu were elected the prefects of Aravalli house, Himalaya house, Nilgiri house and Vindhyachal house respectively and the vice prefects for the houses were Amrit, Ansh, Jai and Sahil in the same order.

Brilliance World School, Sec 12, Panchkula organized a parent’s orientation meet in which they were informed about the upcoming academic session by the teachers and the Principal. The purpose of the meet was to implement the school’s curriculum effectively with an active involvement of Parents.

Principal Niranjana Chatterjee said, “It is a must that all parents should be thoroughly aware of the ideologies and the approach of the School. We also suggested the activities in which kids are excelling and which they need to pursue further. Parents were also guided about the nutritional and psychological needs of their wards.”

Parents were also told about the constructive methods being adopted by the School to make students understand different subjects. The main motive behind conducting the orientation was to share ideas with parents for the well coordinated implementation of academics & extra-curricular activities in the school, throughout the session.
